What happens with a HEIC file that contains several images?

Tailorpix converts the primary image. Other images, Live Photo videos and depth data are not included.

Are HDR and metadata kept?

The output is a regular JPG with 8 bits per color channel. HDR, the original metadata and extra information are not kept.

Is JPG lossless?

JPG is lossy. Automatic quality looks for a suitable setting; under Settings you can choose PNG instead for lossless output of the decoded pixels.
