Which formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and SVG. HEIC/HEIF is decoded and converted to JPG or PNG; other raster formats depend on your browser’s decoder.

Can the result get larger?

With the same format and unchanged dimensions Tailorpix keeps the original if the output is not smaller. Conversions and resizing can produce larger files.

How does automatic quality work?

For JPG and WebP it uses an SSIM measurement on a reduced comparison version. PNG tests color palettes. This is a guide, not a guarantee of invisible differences.
